P&R General Services is a home improvement company owned by the Thomas family. We install tile (bathrooms, showers, floors, backsplashes and accent walls), flooring (hardwood, including refinishing, LVP and carpet), pavers (pool decks, driveways and patios, plus sealing and releveling), and we offer interior and exterior painting, pressure washing, and handyman repairs.

Our focus is Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota and Bradenton. We also serve Venice, Osprey, Nokomis, Ellenton, Parrish, Siesta Key, Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, Myakka City, Longboat Key and Palmetto.

You get a price for your project through a free written estimate, because we do not publish prices. Every project is different: the size of the area, the materials you choose, the condition of the existing surface and any removal or preparation work all change the scope. Project timelines depend on the type of work, its size and the preparation needed, so we confirm the schedule in your written estimate instead of guessing. A backsplash, a paint touch-up or a short handyman list is a much smaller job than a full floor replacement, a shower remodel or a new pool deck. Material delivery, drying and curing times, and summer rain for outdoor work can also affect the schedule. Before work begins, we confirm the start date and the expected number of working days, and we keep you informed if anything changes along the way. If you have a deadline, such as a listing date, guests arriving or the start of the rental season, mention it in your request so we can tell you up front whether it can work.

Yes, we work in Lakewood Ranch HOA communities, and we plan exterior projects around the approval process. Many planned communities require approval before exterior changes such as pavers, a pool deck or a new exterior paint color, and the rules differ from one community to another. Check with your HOA or architectural review committee before you set a start date. HOA reviews can take a few weeks, so it helps to request your estimate early: your written estimate gives you the project details you may need for the application. P&R General Services is fully insured, and we can provide a certificate of insurance if your association asks for one.
